The nearest cities are closed to the player: Candlekeep demands a unique, valuable book as its admission fee, and the city of Baldur's Gate is closed off to outsiders for fear of the bandit hordes. Seeking safety, the player character teams up with other adventurers, and soon he or she sets out to find the cause of the iron shortage by traveling to the source of the iron, the mines of Nashkel, and in doing so begins to unearth a deeper conspiracy. Kobolds have been contaminating the iron in the mine, and documents at the Nashkel mine connect the mine operation with the iron-hunting bandits, and ultimately lead the main character to the secret campsite of the bandits.
Just recently started playing BD3. Pleased to o aprendiz say it is very close to live role play, it is feeling very realistic. Done three very shorts runs and each time the game has developed totally different, which is cool. Choices and actions really do make a difference.
These bonuses are added each time you perform a Skill or Action related to that Ability. So, the higher your Ability Score, the higher the bonus you'll get, leaving your success less reliant on the luck of the die.
Some players may opt to make their own custom characters instead, but you may miss out on character specific events and dialogue choices. Any Origin characters you and your party members don't pick can be encountered while playing the game and become your companions.
Larian describes this potential for love in the game as "reactive systems all throughout the journey of a relationship," along with "hundreds of permutations that define where a relationship heads."
As you venture on, your character will find themselves inescapably drawn towards unimaginable cruelties. Can you resist these urges? You sure can, but you may miss the special dialogue and cutscenes associated with the Origin. As a character with The Dark Urge, players can freely customize their character's Race, Background, and Class.
There's only one section in the Prologue and it's called Escape the Nautiloid. It's a great introduction to the game, looking at key combat mechanics and introducing important characters. There's also an additional page for a potential party member encounter.
